SNAP-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) is a synthetic octapeptide developed as a topical alternative to botulinum toxin for reducing dynamic facial wrinkles. It works by mimicking the N-terminal end of SNAP-25 protein to competitively inhibit SNARE complex formation, thereby reducing acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction and attenuating the muscle contractions responsible for expression lines. Mechanism of Action
