Dermorphin is a naturally occurring heptapeptide originally isolated from amphibian species within the Phyllomedusa genus. In neuropharmacology research, Dermorphin is studied for its exceptionally strong interaction with the mu-opioid receptor (MOR), a receptor involved in central nervous system signalling.
Because mu-opioid receptors play a major role in neuronal communication and synaptic signalling, Dermorphin is frequently examined in laboratory models investigating receptor binding behaviour, neurotransmitter signalling, and peptide–receptor interaction dynamics.
Dermorphin also contains a rare D-amino acid residue within its structure. This feature improves resistance to enzymatic degradation and has made the peptide a useful model compound in studies examining peptide stability and receptor binding efficiency.
Mu-Opioid Receptor Binding: Dermorphin is widely investigated in receptor-binding assays exploring how peptides interact with MOR signalling sites.
Neurotransmitter Modulation: Researchers study how opioid receptor activation influences neurotransmitter release and neuronal signalling pathways.
Peptide Stability Research: The peptide’s D-amino acid configuration provides a model for examining resistance to enzymatic degradation in peptide structures.
Receptor Signalling Dynamics: Dermorphin is frequently examined in neuropharmacology models studying receptor activation and downstream signalling cascades within the central nervous system.
Mu-opioid receptors form part of a wider network of G-protein coupled receptors responsible for regulating neuronal communication and synaptic signalling. Peptides with strong receptor selectivity, such as Dermorphin, provide researchers with useful models for investigating ligand binding behaviour, receptor activation mechanisms, and neurochemical signalling pathways.
Because of its high receptor affinity and structural stability, Dermorphin has been referenced in laboratory research examining opioid receptor pharmacology and peptide-receptor interaction dynamics.

Dermorphin is studied within neuropharmacology research exploring receptor signalling and central nervous system communication. Researchers investigating neuropeptide signalling pathways may also examine peptides involved in broader neurological signalling frameworks.
Peptides frequently referenced in neurological signalling research include Pinealon, Selank, and Semax, which are studied for their interaction with central nervous system signalling pathways.
Certificates of Analysis are published for tested products and batches. A certificate is a batch-specific record: it reports what was measured, by which method, on a stated date, against a batch identifier. It is evidence about the sample analysed at the time of analysis, and it is silent on attributes it does not list and on what has happened to the material since.
The batch number is the field that connects the document to a physical vial. Where the identifier on a vial does not appear on a certificate, the certificate does not describe that vial, however thorough the analysis behind it was. Batch records can be searched directly, and the guides below explain what each field establishes and what it does not.
